Back again with August updates from the Council and opportunities you might find useful.

Connect with Your Peers in Upcoming Workshop and Learning Forum

I am very excited to announce our upcoming workshop on community leadership, donor engagement, advocacy, and impact investing in Louisville, KY, this October 13-14. Please join us!

Foundation Leader in Residence at the Council

The Council’s inaugural “Foundation Leader in Residence” is Kevin Murphy, president and CEO of Berks County Community Foundation. Kevin will be working on a research project to examine the community foundation business model and the diversification of assets. I am excited to be working alongside Kevin this month on several projects that build on his years of philanthropic experience.

HR Summit

If you represent a Council member community foundation with a staff of 20 or more, your HR lead should have received an invitation to the HR Summit on October 19-20, 2016 in San Francisco. Reach out if you have any questions about this special convening focused on helping foundations — and all of philanthropy — become more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. The schedule is now live and registration is open for eligible foundations.

Endowments and Finance Summit

If your focus is finance, investments, or operational leadership, I hope you will join us in NYC from September 28-30, 2016 for the Council’s second Endowments and Finance Summit. This special convening will include a pre-summit session exclusively for community foundations — and many opportunities for you to meet and connect with top finance and foundation leaders. I encourage you to view the full schedule on our website — and then register. Council members save $550 off registration through August 26.
